The Web Developer will be responsible for analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of internal and external web-based applications. This role requires a seasoned technologist who works effectively both independently and self-managed, as well as collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate must have solid web application development experience and leadership skills. Candidate will assist with the day-to-day design, code reviews, unit testing, and deployment of any application; and build websites and web-based applications using HTML, JavaScript, VB/VBScript and JSP.
Qualifications
Two (2+) plus years of relevant work experience, either post-graduate or through work experience. BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study. Required skills include HTML, JavaScript, Java/JSP, SQL and some Linux/UNIX experience. Highly desirable skills include UNIX Administration (set up your own Linux box, write scripts and cron jobs, etc.); Database server administration (preferably Microsoft SQL Server); and experience with version control systems, XML, DHTML, Perl, and/or content management systems. Web design experience is a plus. Solid Design, coding, testing and debugging skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff is highly desirable.

As an ex-developer at Forbes, I can honestly tell you that the place is a low-salary sweatshop. EVERYONE I know that has worked there has now left, except for Mike D, who was promoted. Where are talking about 100% turnover.
If you are desperate, get a job there and look for something else. It's always easier to look for a job while employed.
