    HI GUYS.....I ALSO REMEMBER ALL THOSE GREAT STORES ON 5TH AVE.
    .....I DIDN'T GROW UP IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD(32ND & 4TH).BUT WENT TO ST.JOHN'S,AND WHEN I GOT OLDER,HUNG OUT IN THE AREA UNTIL THE EARLY 70'S.....I COULD NOT NAME ALL THE STORES LIKE JIM AND SUZIE DID......BUT ONCE YOU SAID THE NAMES,IT ALL CAME BACK

    and then going on the avenue in the afternoon.
    Too bad you couldnt cancel the guy today ...it really is windy out.

    Im waiting for the Gas Co...since 7:00 ...they want to change my Gas meter in the house...they said mine is from 1960....
    when the house was built. They also want to move the meter to outside of the house on 4/15.....and break up the street and my lawn ....
    did anyone have this done yet in Staten Island ??? Do they break my sidewalk up also? Just Curious!

    Helen ....I remember Bella Donna Hair Salon ....I love the woman that worked there ...she did my Mom's hair all the time ....

    Fruit stand and the camera store....but they closed down years ago!

    The only girl I remember from Bella Donna was Yvette. She then went to work for Rosa's on 5th Avenue and 22nd Street. She was my favorite.

    I did know their name at some point and I am sure my sister remembers it since we both did a lot of sewing. There was another material store on 15th and 5th. Also, do you remember Larson's Bakery. They sold day old stoff cheap, lol.

    The material store on 15st was a Spanish Family ...I went to Jay with their Son ....dont remember the name of the store....there was also a liquor store by them also!
