Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

Hi Guys....how is everyone tonight... went to moms today....she is doing the same, she is just so sad, all she does is cry because she hates the way she feels, she can't remember anything, she can't find anything, she is always aggitated, but what you guys said all makes so much sense.

Franny - I never thought of it that way, that someone was always there in the hospital and home and now I think sometimes she feels like we all abandoned her with this stranger (the aid) living in her house and she is mad at all of us......

We just wish that she could eat..because that is why she always so tired, so that is why she can't function....we got her a presciption today for some appetite drug to help get her appetite back, hopefully that will help

Also, my aunt looked into getting a counsler from the hospital to come and talk with her, so today when I got there, my aunt called and said the women was coming today, but she told me don't tell mom until I get there, so me and my daughter went food shopping for her and when we got back the women and my aunt were already there....but my mom had no problem talking to the counsler, I really think she enjoyed her visit.....so we have to just go along with everything right now and she has quite a few doctor appoints next week so we will find out what is going on. It is just so draining seeing her like that.......

Debbie - I forgot to mention before the pics of your brothers and family were so great...I saw alot of them on FB......like Geri said "priceless".....

Anthony - That slide show was so wonderful.....your pics were great.


btw my friggin finger is killing me all day.

Patsy - I did say most of my cleaning was done, but believe it or not all I left for Friday night was my BATHROOMS and at first I was not going to do them, but I knew I had a crazy weekend this weekend, so I wrapped my hand like a mummy and cleaned the suckers.......it worked ...but today I kept hitting it and right now it is killing me......

Hi Jeanette ....I hope you had a good time tonight .....Im sure you had them all laughing!

I just want all of you to be careful around these leaves ......looking at the pics....it looks as thou I cut down the oak and sumac
my arms are a mess with itchy red blisters .....today was the worst! I went and bought over the counter
Benadryl Gel ....and so far ....Im ok with it ....its soothing the blistery burn. They say it take from 2-3 weeks to clear up ....
so please stay away from these leaves.

AL.....you go to the mountains ....did you ever get this?

Good Morning!

Finally, I get a chance to go on a home computer. Usually in work, I go into the computer room for a few "ALONE" minutes and read the blog. The only computer that is unlocked is the computer with the broken key board. Just wanted to let you know I am not typing in a foreign language!

Thanks everyone for the good-luck wishes. It's a big change but, it is time for me to move on. I start my new job at the HS before Oct. 13th.

You know, talking to people about this blog, you can't believe how many people read it! There are people that know so much about this blog. One man from Red Hook told me that he 'heard' they were monitoring the board to write a story line for a play! Imagine?

I said, 'Wow, that's great because sometimes, things get a little spicy and that makes it such interesting reading.' I LOVE SPICY. It makes you want to read and read some more.

Judy, I am so sorry your Mom is so sad, I will keep her in my prayers but, just the fact that she was willing to speak to someone is great. At least she is allowing someone into her life to listen to her side of the story of life. That's great. I hope she has continued success. I wish your finger a speedy recovery. I laughed when you were upset about your nail, you Diva, you!

Festina-I am going to the Ragamuffin festival. Every year I usually see Tommy. He is at every street fair. Tell your Mom I will get info from him if I see him and I will surely keep my eyes open.
