Dog Adoption Agency's Pit Bull Bit Me

Frankly, anybody who carries bags of meat around Park Slope is asking for trouble. Furthermore, my kids inform me that having torn jeans these days is considered quite hip. Can you imagine the conversation around the communal crack pipe when you inform your associates that a pit bull did the tearing? A "dap" all around!

are we choosing favorite serial killers? i'm a sucker for joseph kallinger, gacey comes in second here.
and mod squad, ripped jeans have always been cool. how old are you? -

I think you hit on something, imagine the demand for torn jeans by Buster The Designer Dog.
Brilliant !

Perhaps that's why all of the many butchers that used to operate in the neighborhood were forced to close!
I guess I'll hire Pinkerton to protect me when I return from my next run to Fairway to buy beef and lamb.
Is it true that Fresh Direct is now using armored cars to deliver meat to the nabe?

I guess thats what drove Jeffrey Dahmer to do what he did.

Ed Gein was the best. Often imitated...never duplicated (except maybe by fellow Wisconsinite Jeffrey Dahmer- must be all the German settlers).

ah, yes, I do have something for those who store the bodies of thier victims in the floorboards of thier house, freezer, or simply eat their victims.
(people who like reading about dog bites love serial killers, it was a no brainer as a topic changer...)
keep going, no relapses. ...we can do it. Anyone love a female serial killer? ...evven a small crush on one.
Natural Born Killers was a movie, but she (Juliette Lewis) was kinda hot in a demented way....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_Born_Killers -
don't forget Mrs Lovett, Sweeney Todds assistant who made meat pies out of his victims.
Which reminds me to skip Dub Pies in the future.

As I walked by last Monday (Columbus Day), their pit bull lunged at me and bit my thigh. Their first response was suggesting it was my fault because I had a bag of groceries in my arm. They also said that was their sweetest dog. They delayed getting the person in charge (who was across the street), hoping I would just walk away. After I persisted they finally brought over the boss. She offered NO apology whatsoever, but tried to get me to sign a medical waiver! WTF??
I love dogs as much as the next guy. But I was astonished how these people were more concerned about themselves than my fang scarred ass! Keep your children an extra leash-length away from these dogs when you walk by!
as a volunteer at the brooklyn animal foster network i find this very hard to believe, first off i know the dog you are talking about and where the hell did you get the idea that the dog is a pit maybe out of your fang scarred ass becuse the dog is a sheperd mix and it is your fault because im sure they warned u about busters behavior and im very sure that they did in fact appoligize for busters actions and i know for a fact they did not ask u to sign a medical waiver because we dont carry those with us the dog lived in a kennal for most his life you coming up to him with a bag of food does not help him and also you posting about your "attack" is so childish and shows what kind of person you are you are a close minded person that cares more about a pair of jeans rather than a dogs life
seriously? -

Mr. Wilson,
As I have been chastised for falling behind, I urge you to do the same (that is don't fall behind, you could get "rear ended"). We need to move this thread along now. Even Laurie made a joke and the baseball season is over for you. -

Allow me to introduce BAFN Animal Handler my volunteer Mike Meyers, (No not thee Mike Meyers, I wish). He is passionate about animals and passionate about BAFN. He is a high school senior, very grown up for his age but very protective of his organization. Every Saturday, like clock work he is there waiting for me and the BAFN mobile to help empty crates and set them up for the cats. He has not missed a Saturday in 6 months, wants no financial reward not even my signature on a Community Service Credit Program form. He is a remarkable young man.

so, how about those serial killers?

What they didn't say was that later that night, the cat killed his owners in their sleep.

and sweet jeebus is right: learn some grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
My thoughts too. I can't make any sense out of that childish babble. -

That is horrible and cruel, not funny at all. That cat was terrified and freaking out. -
Just curious, and no joke intended... how do you wash a cat? If, for instance, a cat gets sprayed by a skunk, how would you wash its fur?
-
You give it a bath, but not like that.
And good luck, it ain't easy. -
booklaw wrote: Just curious, and no joke intended... how do you wash a cat? If, for instance, a cat gets sprayed by a skunk, how would you wash its fur?
Place the cat in the tub with no water. Have a bowl of warm water sitting in there.Sit her down on all fours. Talk to her like "hi kitty witty , you gonna take a baaaaaaath , huh? you ready? ready betty freddie? Aww good little kitty-gooooood" (in a nice soft calm -I love my cat voice) , and pet her nicely until she is relaxed and content. Keep one of your hands on her still petting her and grab the bowl of water with the other. Hold the bowl up to her body so she can feel the bowl and then pour onto her slowly little by little and massage the water into her fur at the same time. Make sure you keep talking to her like you were doing at the beginning so that she doesn't get scared. That's how I used to clean some of our cats. A few would go nuts as soon as I tried putting them into the tub , though.
Howdy, Stranger!
